“VBA” Trade Group Increased Sales of Soft Polypropylene Packaging

In June-August 2016 "VBA" Trade Group sold 20% more soft polypropylene packaging than for the same period last year. The total number of the sold Big-Bags, Liner Bags and wagon inserts for this period amounted to almost 180 thous. pcs.

It is worth mentioning that soft polypropylene packaging is usually in the highest demand in summer with manufacturers and sellers of seeds, grains, fertilizers as well as quarry products.

Moreover, it is expected that by the end of this year the volume of sales of “VBA” Trade Group soft containers will also markedly exceed last year’s results. One of the prerequisites for this is an optimistic forecast of the International Grains Council (IGC) and the high demand with the grain companies.

Thus, according to experts, it is expected that world production of grains of all kinds in 2016/17 will reach a historic high, and given the high level of inventories at the beginning of the year the total supply will exceed 2.5 bln. ton for the first time. The volume of grain production in Ukraine is projected at 64.4 mln. tons which will be 6% more than in 2015/16.
